Educo Launches Anti-Child Labour Campaign Using Zoho Creator and Zoho Sites

Educo is a global development NGO and a proud member of the ChildFund Alliance. Operating in 14 countries, Educo has reached over 8 million children and youth through its programs that focus on education, child protection, and the active participation of children in decisions that affect them.

In India, Educo has been working since 1998 to create a society where every child can fully enjoy their rights and live a dignified life. By 2020, Educo had impacted the lives of nearly 2 million children and youth across the country. Their work, often in partnership with regional NGOs, addresses critical issues such as child labour, trafficking, child marriage, access to quality education, gender discrimination, and child participation in governance.

The Challenge

Educo wanted to raise public awareness and mobilize support for its campaign against child labour in collaboration with partner organizations — People for Rural Education Movement (PREM) in Odisha and the Campaign Against Child Labour - Tamil Nadu and Puducherry (CACL-TN & PY).

To achieve this, Educo planned to launch a digital campaign that would allow citizens to pledge their support and be recognized as ambassadors of the cause. The organization needed a digital platform that could:

  • Collect and manage ambassador information

  • Streamline pledge submissions

  • Generate digital certificates of appreciation

  • Support campaign visibility with a dedicated website

Recognizing the need for an efficient and scalable solution, Educo approached Senthuraa Technologies to bring this campaign to life using Zoho applications.

Senthuraa Technologies worked closely with Educo to understand the campaign’s mission and digital needs. A custom solution was developed using Zoho Creator and Zoho Sites to power the pledge drive and ambassador engagement initiative.

  • Automated certificate generation as a token of appreciation for those who pledged support.

  • Data management system built on Zoho Creator to handle all form submissions and ambassador records.

  • Digital campaign website developed using Zoho Sites to raise awareness and host the campaign

The process was fully streamlined: users would submit their pledge through the online form, which acted as their official commitment to the cause. Upon submission, a personalized certificate would be automatically generated and sent, recognizing them as an official campaign ambassador.
